Melbourne’s icon of gloriously bold, fun prints.

First stocked at the now defunct Fat 52 boutique in 1999, Gorman has grown to become one of Australia’s most successful brands, with dozens of its own retail stores across the country.

Founder and now creative director Lisa Gorman and her Melbourne-based team create season after season of colourful, playful and in-demand clothes. While some believe exuberant prints and colour are the domain of the young, Gorman proves that women over 30 are just as partial to a botanical print dress as their early 20s counterparts.

Part of Gorman’s success is its frequent collaborations with jewellery designers, artists, illustrators and textile designers. These collaborations have ranged from big-name artists including Mirka Mora, to the Sydney jewellery brand Doodad and Fandango.

Gorman also has a line of shoes, jewellery, homewares and swimwear. In 2017, the brand created a range of jackets for dogs in partnership with Guide Dogs Australia.
