It’s go-kart time 360 days a year in rain, hail or shine. Grab a bunch of mates or your whole family for some competitive fun in one of Australia’s most breathtaking circuits. Located by the water with Cape Woolamai nature park in the distance, you can book a ten-minute session on the karts and usually that allows one to cut 6-12 laps. Although the slowest lap ever recorded would suggest otherwise at 8.5 minutes… The fastest lap was completed in 46 seconds. Tandem karts are a new addition to the tracks, which is great for parents to share the experience with a child or for people in the disabled community to ride with accompaniment. At full throttle, the karts reach 65kmphr. Over at the professional Grand Prix Circuit, which you can see from the viewing platform, racing cars can reach speeds of 250kmp/hr. Each year in October, over 100,000 people from around the world flock to Phillip Island’s Grand Prix Circuit to watch the premier class MotoGP event. If Go Karts aren’t your schtick, other activities at the centre include remote control slot cars and simulators with very fancy grand tourer sports cars.
