This homewares store in the South Melbourne Market sells design-driven pieces for people looking to deck out their house with stuff that’s a bit left-of-centre. Next door it also caters to parents who want to buy kids’ stuff that’s gender neutral and (super) cooler than what’s offered by the mainstream.
The owners are husband and wife David “Noonie” Nunez and Kate Vandermeer. They choose stock by mixing it up between independent artists who hand-make things in Australia and overseas, and mainstream favourites.
Bedding brand Kip & Co. features. There’s geometric wooden table planters designed in Melbourne, lighting, candles, mobiles, wall decals (fruit? Flamingoes?) and seriously soft Ninnho towels. Books, cushions, planters, storage solutions and wall art also fill the space.
In the kids section there’s clothing, footwear (tiny, bright-green-suede prewalker shoes that also come in hot pink and animal print are the cutest) and books. There’s also anything you can think of to decorate a supercool kid’s room, or for throwing a supercool kid’s party.
