Surfer and former Seven Seeds barista Tom Sereika opened Pond to bring his dream of a beachside café to life — right across from the ocean in his hometown of Torquay. Bright and breezy, the space is flooded with natural light thanks to wide glass doors and windows that frame the sea.

More Than Just Coffee

Coffee, of course, comes courtesy of Seven Seeds (both espresso and filter), but the drinks list goes well beyond that. You’ll find cold-pressed juices and refreshing options like the Simply Spritz — sparkling water with lemon and a rosemary sprig.

Health-Conscious, But Never Boring

The food menu leans inventive and health-conscious, with a few indulgent detours (hello, pork belly tacos). There’s a black-bun chicken burger piled high with salad, smashed avo topped with peanut brittle, and standout lunch options like beef brisket bibimbap with soba noodles and a poached egg.

A local favourite for post-surf fuel, Pond also draws in road-trippers making their first stop on the Great Ocean Road from Melbourne.
