TL;DR

Tarts Meet Two Wheels

Baked goods and cycling might not seem like a natural pairingβ€”but for Gareth Whitton and Catherine Way, it’s a perfect match. When a space opened up inside cycling apparel store Pedla, the couple saw an ideal home for the second outpost of their cult bakery, Tarts Anon.

From Cult Bakery to Cafe Corner

Following their success online and the popularity of their first shop in Cremorne, expansion was inevitable. The location made senseβ€”Whitton, formerly head pastry chef at Dinner by Heston, is a keen cyclist himself. So, when the opportunity at Pedla arose, they rolled with it.

A Stylish Slice Stop

The setup mirrors their Cremorne shop: white subway tiles, clean lines, and a cabinet brimming with fresh-baked tarts. Flavours change regularly, but favourites like pear, classic lemon, and the rich caramel and chocolate custard often make an appearance.

Coffee, Tarts, and a Quick Pit Stop

Whole and half tarts are available to pre-order online, but if you’re just passing through, grab a slice and a cup of Square One coffee. Outdoor seating makes it easy to pause, refuel, and indulge.

One for Cyclistsβ€”and Everyone Else

Whether you arrive on two wheels or two feet, this tart-slinging corner of Pedla is a sweet detour worth taking.
