A Juicy Tradition

There’s something special about biting into a fresh, sun-ripened strawberry—especially when you’ve picked it yourself.

Family Roots and Strawberry Beginnings

Sunny Ridge started back in 1964 when the Gallace family set out to grow apples and cherries. But it didn’t take long for strawberries to steal the show—they were quicker to grow, easier to harvest, and quickly became a family favourite.

Australia’s Largest Strawberry Farm

Fast forward to today, and Sunny Ridge has grown into the largest strawberry farm in Australia. From November through May, the farm produces around 4.5 million strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries every year.

Pick Your Own Berries

One of the highlights here is the “U-Pick” experience. You can grab an empty punnet and roam the fields, picking your own strawberries straight from the plant. Just make sure your lid can close when you’re done—those are the rules!

Sweet Treats at the Café

After all that berry-picking, treat yourself to something sweet at the café. Think warm waffles topped with fresh berries and chocolate sauce, creamy strawberry milkshakes, or even a gooey chocolate fondue.

Shop the Goodness

Before you leave, don’t forget to stop by the farm shop. You’ll find house-made jams, chocolate-covered freeze-dried berries, and berry-flavoured sorbets and ice creams perfect for enjoying at home—or on the drive back.
