Black Finch: Ethically Made, Eternally Yours
Melbourne-based jewellery label Black Finch is all about ethical practices and bespoke craftsmanship. Founded by jeweller Raymond de Zwart and creative partner Davina Adamson, the studio uses post-consumer goldβrecycled from old jewelleryβand sources conflict-free diamonds and sapphires from places like Australia, Sri Lanka, and Madagascar.
Personal Stories in Precious Stones
Step into their flagship Collingwood store and youβll find one-of-a-kind pieces in a rainbow of gemstones. If youβre designing your own, De Zwart and Adamson encourage you to draw from personal inspiration. That could mean using different coloured stones to honour a memory or loved oneβlike yellow sapphires to reflect the eyes of a cherished pet, or colour-changing sapphires that mirror a stormy sea. You can choose from a range of metals too, including yellow, white or rose gold, depending on your skin tone or the jewellery you already own.
A Space That Reflects Its Values
The space itself mirrors Black Finchβs values. Everything, from the furniture to the display cabinets, is custom-made, much like their jewellery. Soft lilacs and greens create a calming, welcoming vibe. A second boutique in Sorrento brings the same thoughtful design and service to the Mornington Peninsula.
