This cafe is the Victorian flagship of a NSW specialty coffee pioneer, and take inspiration from Euro espresso bars. Come for its signature blends and single origins, plus pastries by AM Bakehouse.

Founded more than 20 years ago, Campos Coffee is one of the country’s first specialty coffee roasters, supplying its signature beans to hundreds of cafes around the country as well as its own flagship sites in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Its Melbourne outpost is in a prime location near the corner of Chapel Street and Toorak Road in South Yarra. Step inside for lattes, flat whites and long blacks made with Campos beans, from the signature Superior Blend to the limited-release single origins from the Lab Series range and rare Geisha coffees.

The cafe serves baked treats and pastries from AM Bakehouse in Glen Iris, plus savoury sandwiches. Dietary requirements are looked after with vegan and gluten-free options by Mahadeva’s Kitchen.

You can also buy beans and home-brewing equipment, and there’s a grinding service so you can freshly grind your purchased beans before taking them home.

A fit-out by design agency Guru Projects features rich warm tones reminiscent of the traditional espresso bars across Europe. The walls display artwork by local artists, with pieces changing every few months. The ceramics champion local makers too, with custom cups by Pot Dispensary.
