At Corlection you’ll find rarefied heritage streetwear brands, particularly high-quality Japanese denim. The label appeals to those who want the highest-quality products with total production transparency and historical awareness.

It stocks cult Japanese labels such as Momotaro, Pure Blue Japan, The Flat Head, Freewheelers and many more; labels previously only available to those who went searching for it abroad. And brands shown in the menswear bible Lightning magazine, which has long chronicled the vintage-Americana aesthetic.

The store opened in 2009 in Sydney and expanded into Melbourne in 2014. It caters primarily to men, but there is a small selection of women’s denim, too.

Supreme durability is the basic feature of all the brands in the shop. Also essential to these brands is the idea of “wabi-sabi” – the appreciation of things that age. The denims, chinos, jackets, shirts and T-shirts will age with wear into better condition.
