A New Era for a Familiar Space
Domโs is a three-level bar, restaurant, and rooftop located in the space that used to be home to rooftop bar Peaches and the downstairs restaurant Cheek. Itโs owned by Sam Peasnell, his brother Tom, and their friend Adam Goldblatt, who also run Prestonโs Dexter and Takeaway Pizza.
Woodfired Pizzas and Bistro Vibes
When you climb the hand-stained timber stairs to the first floor, youโll find woodfired pizzas topped with house-made charcuterieโsome of which you can see hanging in the dry-ageing fridge. The cozy space features bistro-style leather booths. Start your meal with snacks like potato skins with goatsโ curd and anchovy, stracciatella with sweet and tangy onion agrodolce, mozzarella croquettes, and tempura pumpkin served with curry-leaf aioli.
Flavours That Travel Upward
The lively atmosphere and food flow across all three floors. A must-try pizza has a tomato base topped with mortadella, fermented honey, garlic, and thyme. Another unique option uses a kalamata olive base with fefferoni peppers and spicy salami. Tom, who was also involved with Cheek, is the expert behind the house-made deli meats, including a whole-pig salami made from Yarra Valley Berkshire pork and the mortadella used on the honey-drizzled pizza.
A Cocktail Program That Shines
Bar manager Morgan Cook oversees the drinks menu, which focuses mainly on wines and aperitifs across all levels, but the cocktails are just as impressive. Youโll find creative twists on classic drinks featuring amaros, sherries, and vermouths, plus plenty of Australian spirits like Poor Tomโs gin, Delinquente Wine Coโs Bizzarro Aperitivo, and Brookieโs macadamia and wattleseed frangelico.
Rooftop Views and Laid-Back Charm
Upstairs, the public bar has a relaxed feel with royal-blue carpet around a wood-paneled bar and a pool table out back. The rooftop is mostly the same as when it was Peaches, just refreshed with a few touches of blue paint. Itโs one of the best places in the CBD to enjoy a drink with a view.
