Fresh coconuts and Southeast Asian fare are the hallmarks of this spot.

When you’ve made the decision to take over a notable venue, the pressure to perform under the watchful gaze of a loyal following is ever present. Fortunately for the operators of Dundas & Faussett, the decision has proven favourable.

Establishing a balance between old and new, owners Sam and Nick Seoud passed the test and maintain the legacy of this Albert Park cafe.

They’ve smartened it up with a more contemporary fit-out. Blond timber paneling lines the walls, contrasting against black cone drop-lights. A longer bar is a feature piece.

The existing Southeast Asian dishes have been extended into lunch and dinner. Popular items include breakfast bruschetta; ricotta hotcakes; and crispy salmon with seasonal vegies. In the evenings dinners include nasi goreng and pad thai.

Rotating single-origin blends come from Five Senses coffee. There are also juices, smoothies and young fresh coconuts straight from the shell.
