From Bottle Shop to Beer Bar
When Julien Nell took over Far Side Beers in 2015, it was a bottle shop with a small bar. A year later, he relocated to a bigger space and transformed it into something even better β a bar with its own bottle shop, inspired by places like Carwyn Cellars.
Taps That Keep Changing
Behind the sleek timber counter, six beer taps rotate regularly, swapping out kegs to showcase a variety of styles from IPAs and stouts to sours and pilsners. Nell selects new kegs based on the season, current trends, and customer feedback.
A Global Bottle Selection
The bottle shop boasts 180 different labels vying for attentionβfrom American Gose to Australian Russian Imperial stouts and Danish lagersβavailable to take home or enjoy right there, perched on one of the venueβs cherry-red steel stools.
Not Just for Beer Lovers
For those who arenβt beer fans, thereβs a curated selection of wines and a handful of signature cocktails with a unique twist, like Far Sideβs Old Fashioned, which features a splash of housemade beer syrup.
Top-Shelf Offerings
The back bar is stocked with popular spirits such as Sailor Jerry, alongside local favourites like Starward whisky, Four Pillars gin, and Tromba tequila.
