Welcome to Fluffy Torpedo
With floors paved in sour-strap lollies and an open kitchen that feels more like a science lab, Fluffy Torpedo is the kind of wildly fun ice-cream shop you never knew you needed.
A Wall of Wild Flavours
The menu is a wall-spanning collage of bold and bizarre flavours — some nostalgic, some just plain inventive. You’ll find scoops like Mountain Dew with Oreo, or go for something a little more refined, like miso, cinnamon and white chocolate.
A Playful Take on Aussie Classics
Owners Adam Semple and Cherry Rainflower, who previously worked at Perth’s Stampede Gelato, love putting a playful twist on Aussie favourites.
Their marshmallow, grape Aeroplane Jelly and pink salt flavour is a perfect example — airy, tangy and surprisingly sophisticated. Other standouts include smoked Cherry Ripe, Vegemite and white chocolate (trust us, it works), and even a blue Powerade flavour.
From Pro Cyclist and Ballerina to Ice-Cream Innovators
Neither has formal culinary training — they taught themselves everything through books and Google. Before opening Fluffy Torpedo, Rainflower was a professional ballerina, and Semple was a pro cyclist with a lifelong obsession with ice-cream.
Taste-Test, Sustainably
They’ve also put thought into sustainability. Instead of plastic tasting spoons, you’ll be handed sleek, reusable metal sticks.
Taste as many flavours as you like, then drop your stick into a chute to be cleaned and used again. It’s fun, a little chaotic, and totally original — just like the ice-cream.
