Well-loved brasserie Entrecote’s Prahran offering is set to expand with the opening of Gigi Salon á Champagne, a new bar in the former Rufus space across the road.

In its former iteration, the intimate yet grand space featured chandeliers overhead, plush velvet seating and arched windows that revealed sweeping views of neighbouring Grattan Park. Naturally, Entrecote restaurateur Jason Jones has tapped his partner, influential interior designer Brahman Perera, to lead the revamp. Drinks-wise, champagne is expected to be a key focus. As for food, Gigi is slated to feature club sandwiches, caviar and late-night sausage rolls.

Gigi Salon á Champagne is set to open at unit 1/143 Greville Street, Prahran in early 2024.
