It’s all about the north at Great Dane, where founder and director Anton Assaad shares his passion for Scandinavian design, wiith furniture, lighting, accessories and textiles. While the focus is clearly on mid-century Danish design, all of Scandinavia is welcome.

The huge Fitzroy showroom is equally inspired by modern Scandinavian department stores and the northern phenomenon of the midnight sun. It showcases both iconic designer pieces destined to become heirlooms as well as everyday items such as candles and kids toys.

But in the end, you’re here for the furniture. Design features aside, this is what stands out. Great Dane has an intuitive collection of new and authentically Scandinavian furniture, lighting and homewares.
