A much-loved ceramics shop offering locally made wares and workshops.

North Melbourne craft collective and ceramics store Guild of Objects relocated to Fitzroy after being sold to new owners Janine Hendry and Kristine Alleva in 2018.

The focus here is on supporting artists, craftspeople and makers. And on being a hub for all things handmade.

The shop stocks pieces that are both design-driven and functional. You’ll find works by established artists (such as clothing designer Abby Rich, ceramicist Tessy King, and visual artist and jewellery designer Seb Brown), as well as the work of emerging creators. Everything in the store is made in Australia.

Like at the old North Melbourne store, the Fitzroy location offers ceramic workshops such as fabric painting, illustration, block and lino printing, and bookbinding, as well as a large number of ceramics workshops.
