The Harrolds Luxury Department Store for Men exists for one sole purpose: to outfit men no matter the job – business, lifestyle or interest. There is one condition though; it don’t come cheap.

But as creative director Chris Kyvetos explains; Harrolds applies a sense of knowledge, experience and craftwork to the work they do with their classic tailoring collections. This isn’t disposable fashion; these are craftsmen and women plying their trade at the highest possible level and as a reflection of these processes, the choices are more curatorial than brash label shopping.

Expect the big guns and they don’t come bigger than Tom Ford, Raf Simon’s immaculate signature collection, YSL, resurgent label extraordinaire Balmain, Premium New York label Thom Browne also finds a place on the racks, Pierre Hardy shoes are stocked, as well as Alfred Dunhill, Kenzo, Comme des Garcons, Valentino, Vivienne Westwood and the achingly trendy Kitsune.

It’s a dark space, with décor somewhere between a louche French apartment and a slick Italian yacht; herringbone parquetry, black furniture and cabinets… it’s clubby and exclusive, but it gives you this feeling that you could easily slip into the lifestyle.
