Open daily from 11:30 am to 11 pm, offers modern Vietnamese cuisine and live music in a warm Hoi An-inspired setting

After a small fire briefly closed Hoiana for a week, the rumour mill wrongly churned out stories of its permanent closure before it even hit its first birthday. Well, we’re happy to say, Hoiana isn’t going anywhere.

Step inside, and you’ll be welcomed by a warm space, glowing lanterns overhead, and live music from Thursday to Sunday, adding to the ambiance with everything from soft jazz to acoustic covers.

The driving force behind it all? Owner and chef Kieu Phan, originally from Cam Ranh, has already made waves with her Taste of Vietnam Group restaurants in Hoi An and Danang. Now she’s here, making her mark on a city she loves for its buzz and diversity, bringing a taste of Hoi An’s vibrant hospitality straight to Melbourne. Kieu’s got a talent for blending the rich traditions of Vietnamese cooking with a modern twist, crafting dishes that reflect Vietnam’s unique mix of influences—Chinese, Japanese, and French—while offering a fresh perspective. The result? A menu that’s bold, exciting, and perfectly balanced between classic flavours and contemporary flair.

What sets Hoiana apart? It’s not just your usual pho and banh mi spot. The menu is all about modern Vietnamese with a nod to tradition—expect both bold and familiar dishes but always with a twist. Think beyond the classics and dive into seasonal creations that showcase the complexity of Vietnam’s culinary heritage. Plus, with live music every Thursday to Sunday from 7:30 pm, Hoiana isn’t just about dinner—it’s a whole vibe. Don’t miss out on Happy Hour every day from 4 pm to 7 pm, featuring $8 beers, $10 wines, and $12 select cocktails. Open seven days a week from 11:30 am to 11 pm, it’s ready whenever you are.
