A Flexible Take on Japanese Dining
Japanese food has a lot of varietyβsushi when you're after something light, ramen for a hearty meal, and tempura to go with a drink. While many places in Japan focus on one of these, Ichi Ni Nana takes a more flexible approach. Like its sister restaurant, Ichi Ni Izakaya, the menu includes a bit of everything: gyoza, tempura, yakitori, sushi, sashimi, and rice bowls.
A Lively Space With Unique Features
This variety draws a wide mix of diners to its lively ground-floor space at Hotel Fitzroy. One of its more unique features is a private dining booth set inside a repurposed cable car from the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympicsβcomplete with its own sound system.
Thoughtfully Built Drinks List
The drinks list leans creative. Cocktails feature ingredients like green teaβinfused vodka, Japanese whisky, and kokuto (a traditional Japanese sugar). Thereβs also a strong sake selection, plus local and European wines and craft beer from Japanβs Coedo Brewery.
Cosy Year-Round Dining
The dining area is split into smaller zones to keep things cosy, even on quieter nights. In warmer months, the enclosed courtyard makes for a great afternoon spot in the sunshine.
