Pioneers of Plant-Based Kebabs
Kevabs is one of Melbourneβs pioneering all-vegan kebab shops. Their signature Turkish-inspired βkevabβ is free from soy, meat, dairy, eggs, gluten, lactose, nuts, and sugar, yet it still packs authentic Middle Eastern flavors. The spiced meat alternative, made from pea protein, is served in a pita wrap with lettuce, tomato, sumac onion, and tursu (pickled vegetables).
Customisable and Coeliac-Safe Options
You can add dips and salads on the side, and upgrade to vegan cheese or gluten-free bread for an extra $2. Their chips are gluten-free and cooked in a dedicated fryer to prevent cross-contamination, making them safe for coeliacs. You can get them dusted with dukkah or try the βdessertβ chips, topped with tahini sauce, rose jam jelly, and pistachios.
Salads, Sweets and Sips
The menu also includes vegan boreks, a plant-based take on the halal snack pack, and a rotating selection of up to 10 salads daily β like cauliflower tabouli, brown rice with pumpkin and candied nuts, and smashed falafel with kale. To drink, enjoy traditional Turkish coffee served plain or infused with cardamom or chocolate, perfectly paired with vegan baklava or mango-chilli and rose-flavored Turkish delight.
