Where the banter flows as thick and fast as the espresso.

Kinship & Co is like the bar from ’80s TV show Cheers. Everybody seems to know everyone else’s name and the regulars are here daily. But instead of booze lining the cabinets, you’ll find Butterbing cookies and coffee from Industry Beans.

Jaffles are the order of the day, each with their own Seinfeld name. Kramer’s is a sharp mix of pastrami, sauerkraut and pickles. Jerry’s is a no-fuss combo of honey leg ham and Swiss cheese. The sweet, simple Susan’s (RIP) packs banana and Nutella.

Owners Goran Bozinovski and Matt Cavanagh take pride in the cafe’s one-of-a-kind quirks.
There’s an entire shelf dedicated to their sneaker collections and table legs made from disused scaffolding – a result of their limited budget during the fit-out.

But despite this – and breaking his leg during the build – Bozinovski managed to transform the previously dormant 1930s substation into a cosy coffee joint with plenty of talking points.
