Come for a Japanese- and Korean-style menu that might include crispy pork katsu sandos, house-made muesli topped with honey cheong (syrup) and the Japanese lunch set of your dreams. Plus, coffees from Primary, and iced lattes laced with condensed milk.

Moon Mart is an unassuming convenience store and cafe serving Korean- and Japanese-influenced classics, alongside stellar coffee and baked goods.

Owner Eun Hee An (ex-Moon Park, Paper Bird) leads the exciting menu. For breakfast, you might try the kimchi jaffle or house-made muesli topped with lemon and honey cheong (syrup). For lunch, it might be a katsu sando, tonkatsu teishoku (a Japanese set meal of rice, miso soup, a main protein and a few smaller dishes) or a gochujang-braised beef bibimbap, plus regular specials such as okonomiyaki-style hash browns.

You’ll also find a range of Hee An’s Asian-inspired pastries that might include five-spice canelés or cookies made with kinako, or roasted soybean flour. Drinks wise, there’s hot Primary coffee, strawberry cheong (syrup) sodas and iced lattes with condensed milk.

Adding to the Asian convenience store’s charm is the sunny yellow paint job around the door and on the gable, and the bright yellow coffee cups.
