A sophisticated and cosy wine bar that's extra good in winter.

Named as an ode to the founder of Brunswick, Mr Thomas Wilkinson, this bar is a fitting addition to the landscape of the 3056 postcode. Light snacks complement a pleasing drinks menu (with a well-established wine list) perfect for couples at the candlelit tables for two, or groups in larger booth spaces. The décor is admired by the design set and deservedly so – Mr Wilkinson looks great. It’s been fitted out with recycled timbers and black steel, and features rotating local artworks on the walls.

The crowd is a mix of locals craving a glass of wine or a crafty beer, those soon to dine at Hellenic Republic or gearing up for a gig at the East Brunswick Club, as well as river-crossers who’ve heard the whisper about a class act called Wilkinson in the north.
