TL;DR
Pasta GoGo Hawthorn brings big flavour to Melbourne’s takeaway game with made-to-order pasta, house-made sauces, and premium toppings. Choose your shape, sauce, and extras (chilli oil, anyone?) and dig into generous bowls of creamy carbonara, bolognese, or their signature chilli gin crab. There’s even gluten-free and ravioli options, plus garlic bread, meatballs and gelato on the side. Minimalist fit-out, maximum satisfaction.
Fresh pasta and family roots
Born from a post-dinner hunger pang back in 2006, PastaGogo began when founders Leo and Mary decided to create the pasta takeaway joint they couldn’t find. Nearly two decades later, the family-run brand has landed in Hawthorn, Melbourne, and it’s still all about fresh, handmade pasta and a whole lot of heart. Led by sons Anthony and Lucas—alongside partners Karoline and Mia—the new store continues the tradition of customisable bowls and home-style sauces, with a side of minimal interiors and maximum comfort.
The menu: mix & match
Here, you start with sauce. Maybe it’s the rich beef ragu, the creamy chicken with mushroom and garlic, or the punchy chilli gin crab. Prefer it classic? You can’t go wrong with their pork and veal bolognese, napolitana or carbonara. From there, pick your pasta: spirals, penne, spaghetti, fettuccine or rigatoni. For something special, upgrade to Nonna Carmela’s handmade gnocchi, beef tortellini or spinach and ricotta ravioli.
Sides are no afterthought—there’s garlic bread, pork and veal meatballs, and a long list of extras like bacon, mushrooms, prawns and chilli oil to build out your perfect plate. Finish strong with a scoop of gelati or a generous slab of tiramisu.
A clean look, with family at the heart
While the fit-out is clean, red-accented and minimal, the vibe is full of soul. This is still very much a family business, with Nonna Carmela still hand-making gnocchi, and herbs from Nonno Tony’s garden making their way into the sauces. It's fast food done properly—warm, generous and grounded in heritage.
Whether you’re carb-loading midweek, grabbing takeaway on the run, or dining in with mates, PastaGogo Hawthorn delivers the kind of comforting, saucy joy that’s always worth craving..
