Rag & Bone began as a menswear and denim specialist in New York in 2002. Since then, Marcus Wainwright’s mens’ (and now, womenswear) brand has spread to more than 50 countries. Melbourne got Australia’s first and the world’s 32nd store in March 2017.
Beyond the glass facade, you’ll find concrete floors, brass shelving, walnut clothing displays and custom tube pendant lighting. The outpost offers a range of women’s ready-to-wear fashion, denim, accessories and the brand’s hugely popular footwear collection.
This isn’t H&M or Topshop. You can expect to pay upwards of $100 for basic tees and singlets; and more than $500 for dresses and heavier knitwear. But as with other brands of this ilk, you can be sure your cash will buy a well-fitted garment that’s absolutely in-step with current trends. There’s a reason its pieces have been spotted on the likes of Sienna Miller, Gisele Bündchen and Charlize Theron.
