A Latin American Eatery That Hits Different
This vibrant all-day spot dishes up bold Latin American flavours with a menu thatβs entirely gluten-freeβand packed with vegetarian and vegan options too. Expect cheese-stuffed empanadas, crispy patatas bravas, and a happy hour that keeps Elwood buzzing with $5 tacos and frozen Margs.
From CafΓ© to Cantina
Before Covid hit, Jayben Newson was running a corner cafΓ© in Elwood. But the pandemic changed everything. That corner cafΓ© became Repeat Offenderβa Latin-inspired restaurant built on bold flavour, mezcal-fuelled good times, and a space that feels like sunshine in restaurant form.
A Menu That Breaks the Rules (In a Good Way)
Created with Mexican-born chef Adrian Gonzalez, the menu reimagines Latin American favourites with Aussie produce and a few wild cards. Youβll find Sydney rock oysters with coriander foam, chicken adobo with sweet potato and aji verde, and kangaroo tatakiβyes, really. Even the classic Baja taco gets a twist with battered barramundi.
Gluten-Free and Packed With Plant Power
The entire menu is 100% gluten-free. Around half the dishes are vegetarian or vegan, including Fable Food Coβs mushroom βmeatβ tacos and empanadas loaded with mushrooms, truffle and cheese. If youβre dairy-free, donβt worryβthereβs still plenty on the table.
Frozen Margs, Mezcal & Happy Hour Energy
The drinks list? Loaded. Expect tequilas, mezcals, Mexican and Guatemalan beers (Dos Equis on tap), and rotating frozen Margaritas. From Wednesday to Sunday, 3β6pm, the place shifts into happy hour modeβ$5 tacos, icy cocktails, and tap beers that go down a little too easy.
