It’s all about the standout cinnamon scrolls at this corner store. Expect oozing, super-soft layers of dough, cinnamon and caramelised brown sugar with a heaped layer of cream cheese icing. Plus, savoury scrolls, hot chocolate and coffee.

Sebby’s Scrolls was born during lockdown and now calls Caulfield South home. Head to its takeaway window for a scroll in standout flavours like cinammon and cheesymite, with the occasional special thrown in. Plus, takeaway espresso drinks.

The classic cinnamon is the gateway scroll here. Expect super-soft layers of dough, cinnamon and caramelised brown sugar with a heaped layer of cream cheese icing. The cheesymite scrolls, on the other hand, started as a Sunday-only special and were such a hit that they are now a permanent fixture. Devotees generally get one of each – balancing the sweet with the savoury.

The bakery is run by owners and life partners Anabelle Strahan and Sebastian Castro, and pumps out upwards of 5000 scrolls a week. Along with selling directly to members of the public, they’ve been selling their delicious scrolls to coffee shops around Melbourne since 2021.
