Lures you in with hanging flowers and seasonal food.

Just like its sister cafes Porgie and Mr Jones in Hawthorn, and Friends of Mine in Richmond, Snow Pony lures you in with hanging flower baskets and jazz.

Once inside, it feeds you with the signature all-day breakfast menu (yes, you’ll find the famous smashed avocado here as well) and a seasonal lunch menu that might include the decadent smoked duck and pomegranate salad.

Busy all day with everything from business catch-ups to mother’s meetings, staff deliver cheer with your latte, while you peruse a menu that’s full of specialty produce.

The front room – decked out with industrial lights, pillowy leather banquettes and a long communal table with sunny yellow stools – gives way to a hidden room, which takes you through a converted outdoor passage to find a surprising back courtyard.
