A Pasta Bar with a Personal Touch
Super Norma is a small, laid-back pasta bar that feels more like a visit to a relativeβs home than a typical lunch spot. Created by close friends Marco Salzano and Luca Muscato, the concept is rooted in their southern Italian heritageβblending comforting, home-style cooking with a playful atmosphere and a soundtrack of vintage Italo-disco.
From Nonnaβs Kitchen to Yours
The menu is intentionally simple and personal. Many of the recipes come straight from Marcoβs childhood, where he learned to cook alongside his nonna in Naples. Highlights include the signature Super Norma, a hearty pasta alla Norma loaded with eggplant, and a traditional Neapolitan ragΓΉ made with nine different cuts of meat, slow-cooked for hours and served over thick rigatoni. Thereβs usually a special or two, but the focus stays on doing a few things really well.
Tiny Space, Big Personality
Meals come in takeaway-friendly noodle boxes, though the charm really kicks in if you snag a seat inside. The space is tinyβfitting around a dozen dinersβbut full of character: hanging dried chillies, retro decor, and a steady stream of records playing on the turntable (a nod to the duoβs side project, Disco Mediterranea). The vibe is relaxed, warm, and just a little bit cheekyβlike a lunch date with your nonna, if she happened to be into old-school disco.
