Zomp began in Perth in 1972, and has since expanded with stores in Sydney, Brisbane and, of course, Melbourne. The Zomp flagship store on Flinders lane is an amazing space: giant oversized industrial beams scatter themselves about for strength and rigid integrity; the marble floor feels fancy, but not ostentatious; and the long central desk in dark timber is a warm counterpoint to the cool hard work of the architecture. And, of course, it’s full of hundreds of women’s shoes in varying colours, heights, heels and lengths all jostling for position and your attention.

There are two Zomp shops in the city (Flinders lane and Little Collins street) and another in South Yarra (on Chapel Street), all with a wide variety of well-priced shoes for many occasions.
